About:
Nathaniel Ghena, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Marc Freeman at Vollum Institute, OHSU. His research focuses on the role of glia in developmental biology and neuronal remodeling. He holds an F32 fellowship, awarded from NINDS/NIH in August of 2025. He previously trained in the laboratories of Dr. Monica Vetter (University of Utah, PhD training), Dr. Mark Mattson (NIH/NIA, postbaccalaureate training), and Dr. Gary Dunbar (Central Michigan University, undergraduate research).
